This rental kayak trip to uros and going to open lake by small fast boat, highly recommented for people who do not like very tourist sites, this kayak trip is definitely for you.
Since i was 12 years old we have started to go Titicaca kayak tours, we have met such, kayak instructors, certificated kayakers, long distance paddlers or first time paddlers from all around the world.
We have learned from them some really great experience to design our itineraries and programs and more importantly some clue tips for paddling.
OVERVIEW ITINERARY.
The tour begins at 9:00 a.m. and when we go to pick you up from your hotel and take you to small dock near Isla Estevez (10 minutes ride from the city of Puno). At the dock the guide will explain to the group how to use the equipment and show the navigation route for the kayak. It takes approximately 1hour paddling to reach the floating islands. The waters are mostly calm and you will enjoy the viewing of birds and nature on the lake. Once in Uros islands, you will visit one or two islands and their communities. The guide will explain about the Uros culture and you will have some free time to explore the islands.
What we are going to do in open lake?
First we will leave the kayaks on the uros, and we will continue to open lake by small fast boat, it takes 25 minute. once arrive to open lake , just by boat you will explore the beautiful blue lake and two penilsula between 15 or 20 minute after, we are going to come back in other way to kayak port. we Finish at 1pm aprox
